Grace Poe vows to give pension
for retired barangay officials

FPJ's Ang Probinsyano movie action star Coco Martin endorses Sen. Grace Poe for President.

Independent presidential frontrunner Sen. Grace Poe has vowed that there would be a government that would listen and care for the poor should she be elected to the highest office of the land.

Poe made this promise before thousands of supporters, including barangay and youth leaders, who thronged the coliseum in Victorias City, Negros Occidental Thursday.

"My administration will allot budget for barangay employees and will give pension to retired barangay officials," she added.

More than 10,000 barangay leaders and supporters from the six districts of Negros province attended the event.

Poe had earlier a boodle fight breakfast with around 2,000 residents of Barangay Banago in Bacolod City.

Actor Coco Martin, who joined the tandem, said Poe was "the most qualified candidate" among those who are running for president.
